Just as most things in this life, being a celebrity has its good sides and its bad sides.
The general thought is that celebrities have everything going well for them. Because they have fame and money right? After all they pose with flashy cars and designer outfits in the most exquisite mansions.
Well, the truth is these celebrities are also human and the celebrity status is a heavy crown to wear.
Believe it or not, there are troubles that come with being a celebrity.
See some of the troubles of being a celebrity below:
1) CONSTANT JUDGEMENT
Fans rarely take it easy on celebrities, they are expected to be 'PERFECT'.
Celebrities are looked up to as gods and can't afford to make 'human mistakes'
A wrong statement, dressing or attitude and fans suddenly become judges, condemning and criticising them, even though the fans wouldn't have done any different if shoes were swapped.
Celebrities are what they are because they are good at something and the spotlight is on them for that - they didn't bring two heads from heaven.
They are just human and remember'to err is human' so cut them some slack
2) UN-GUARANTEED SAFETY
Not every follower on social media is a friend some are trolls and some are just obsessed
Not every paparazzi is for a magazine, some are stalkers who just want to know where the celebrity is living.
While maintaining a smile in public, celebrities have to be extra safety conscious because they are public figures and therefore make an easy target.
You think a fan just wants to take a selfie and next thing you know, a knife is stuck in your stomach or they are kidnapping you to make you 'theirs'.
Celebrities could have people who hate them for several unbelievable reasons
It could be because of the role they did in a movie
Or for the flashy lifestyle, they showed in a music video
Or because they have issues with another celebrity.
Take the instance of the Cee C and Alex drama and how their separate fans made dangerous threats.

3) INVASION OF PRIVACY
Either because of boredom, the blogger effect or just sheer lack of respect for boundaries but some fans don't want celebrities to have any form of privacy.
They want to know everything there is about celebrities, even what doesn't need to be known
Although some celebrities manage to keep some things off the public eye, only a few are this lucky.
4) HIGH EXPECTATIONS
Being famous and popular means the spotlight is on you always and people always create a lifestyle picture for them.
A picture that the celebrities have to fit into - why? Well, they know that the fans are lowkey actually the boss.
Imagine Toyin Abraham commuted today using the usual Danfo - you can bet that the next news would be that she has become broke.
Or if someone saw Omotola eating at a Buka - so much noise would be made about it
Being famous holds celebrities back from enjoying the trivial everyday things that a regular person would enjoy.
5) PRONE TO SCANDALS
The media always wants to feed off celebrities so there jump on every rumour there is
Spin it, add some flesh to it and recirculate it, just to get more views/reads
Celebrities are in a love-hate relationship with the media because if they can't produce good news for the media, the media will create theirs and you can be sure it will be scandalous because 'makete must sell"
If you look at it well, these celebrities are actually victims of the spotlight.
